Timothy Huffman: Cross Country Bio

I joined cross country in middle school as a way to prepare for the switch from 9v9 to 11v11 in soccer. We thought it would be a good way to build endurance for the larger field. What we didn’t know is that all the running in soccer would help me become a highly competitive cross country runner. I’ve been on my school’s Varsity team every year since 6th grade, and I’ve qualified for TN State Championships every year starting in 7th grade.

I love how cross country provides different terrain, obstacles, and views at every meet. While one course may be flat and fast, others really test your endurance and training with rolling hills and steep inclines.
