About Me

My name is Timothy Huffman, and I’m a student at Green Hill High School in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. I am very active and compete in multiple sports at a high level. In my free time, I love to play chess, travel with my family, and try new foods.

If you’re a recruiter, please take a look at my soccer or cross country bio pages.

Green Hill High School

I’m halfway through my Freshman year at Green Hill High School, and I love this school. Although most of my middle school classmates went to another school, I’ve made a lot of good friends in class and athletics (cross country, soccer, and track). I’m also a member of the Chess Club. As a member of the Class of 2029, I’ve already started exploring potential colleges to attend in four years.

One of the reasons I’m attending GHHS is for its Early College Academy program. During my Junior and Senior years, I’ll be dual-enrolled as a Cumberland University student. When I graduate high school, I’ll have 60 units and an Associates Degree in Business. This will give me a head start in college and allow me to pursue a double major, additional coursework, or a Masters Degree during my four years in school.

  • Graduation year: Class of 2029
  • GPA: 4.25 (weighted) / 4.0 (unweighted)
  • Current classes:
    • Honors Algebra
    • AP Human Geography
    • Honors English
    • Lifetime Wellness (State requirement for graduation)
  • ACT: 23 Composite – 28 Math, 23 Science, 23 Reading, 17 English (Aug 2025)
  • SAT: Not taken
  • NCAA # 2412473709

Soccer

Soccer is my primary sport, and I’ve been playing since I was 4 years old. I started club soccer in 2020 with Wilson United Soccer Club. After two years, I left for Kings Hammer Murfreesboro.

This is my fourth year with the club, and our KH Elite 2011 Boys Regional team is now playing in the National Academy League Southeast Conference for the 2025-26 season.

I played three years in middle school and was named to the All-District team as an 8th grader. During that year, I led my team in passes completed (105), completion percentage (80%), interceptions (49), and duels won (12).

I made the Green Hill High School boys soccer team through tryouts over the winter. In preparation for high school (and eventually college), I started attending College Soccer ID Camps in November 2024. Getting used to the speed, agility, and power of older players is helping me on the field with my club and in preparation for high school ball.

My primary position is Defensive Midfielder (#6). As “the Six,” my job is to stop the opponents’ attacks and do the gritty work that helps our team succeed. My club teammates nicknamed me “The Concrete Wall,” which I kinda love. On occasion, I also play Center Mid, Centerback, or Fullback. This IG post from BeastModeSoccer describes me to a T.

Cross Country

I joined my middle school’s Cross Country team as a 6th grader to build my endurance for soccer as we transitioned to 11v11. Turns out that the endurance from running in soccer helped me to make the Varsity team in the first year. I was the 3rd-fastest runner on our team as a 6th grader, and I matured into the top runner on our team during 7th grade.

I made the Tennessee State Championships in both 7th and 8th grade, finishing 41st in 2023 (12:32) and 22nd in 2024 (11:53) for two miles. During 8th grade, I placed in the Top 5 in four of the six meets, including taking 1st place at the SHMS Invitational. My PR was 11:44 in the TMSAA XC Class AA Area 11 Meet on September 26, 2024. You can view my race results on MileSplit.

In the summer before my Freshman year, I made the Green Hill High School cross country team. The team held a 5K time trial, and I finished around 18:50. We had a successful season, and I PR’d at the Division 1 AAA Region 6 Championships with a time of 17:00 for 5K. Our team made it to the TN State Championships, where I placed 100th with a time of 17:14.

Track & Field

After seeing how I ran in cross country, Coach Blount asked me to run long-distance for our middle school track team. I joined as an 8th-grader, balancing school work, club soccer, school soccer, Taekwondo, and track meets.

Over the winter, I attended two indoor track meets in Birmingham to gain experience for the Spring. At those meets, I ran the 400m, 800m, and 1500m races.

Due to conflicts with school soccer matches, I only ran the 1600m four times this Spring. I took 1st place at the Wilson County Middle School Championships with a time of 5:11. My times qualified me for the TMSAA T&F Class AA Area 12 sub-sectionals and the TMSAA T&F Class AA Section 3 sectionals, where I ran a 5:07 (3 seconds from setting the school record). You can view my race results on MileSplit.

Big thanks to my high school coaches who are allowing me to play high school soccer and run track in spring. It will be tough to balance to high-level sports, but I’m looking forward to the competition.

Taekwondo

I’ve been studying Taekwondo since 2018. I stopped attending classes during COVID, so I had to restart from a white belt. When I restarted in 2021, I quickly regained my focus and have now achieved Black Belt Recommended status (July 2025). I compete regularly in tournaments, and I’ve won numerous medals and trophies for both patterns and sparring.

Here’s the 3-station board break I performed to earn my Black Belt.
